Widow's Sewing School Update

Sujatha
We're very happy to report that our widow's sewing school is ready to start its second year of training and equipping slum widows in the seamstress trade. One such case is found in the story of Sujatha, pictured at right. She entered our program by the recommendation of one of our pastors working in an urban slum area in South India. A Dalit (untouchable) woman already facing social persecution, she was additionally distraught with the prospect of how to provide for her two young children, ages 2 and 5. Having gone through our training program in 2006, equipped with a new skill, a sewing machine and basic supplies, Sujatha is now earning a steady income for her family. In the process, Sujatha was able to hear the message of the Gospel for the first time and will always carry with her the remembrance of Jesus followers giving her a hope-- and a skill-- to carry on. Will you pray about sponsoring a widow and her equipment for this new training period at the school?
