INDIA WIDOW'S BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT. For a gift of $150, or a share thereof, you can sponsor a widow in her pursuit to launch a new seamstress business. Our seamstress business initiative is successfully empowering widows who are among the poorest of the poor in South Asia. Many widows in this part of the world are socially shunned and often pulled into the darkness of prostitution. But Peace Gospel is offering widows a way out of their poverty and despair. As we receive sponsorship funds from donors like you, widows are taken through a 4 month training program and then equipped with a sewing machine and basic supplies. This allows widows to start a practical in-demand, home-based business that provides for their family. Update: In addition to empowering to widows through this program, we are now also including destitute women of the slums who are experiencing extreme financial difficulties.
