Philippines Project.
Pastor Jun Tague has been the pastor of a small indigenous church in the
Philippines for over 10 years, ministering in various areas on the
island of Cebu. After a thorough application, interview and verification
process conducted by our board of directors, Pastor Jun and his ministry
were accepted into the Friends of Peace Gospel Network during the summer
of 2009, becoming part of our extended ministry family. We are now
partnering with him to provide funding, financial accountability and
practical training. He and his wife are reaching out to the children of
the island through a mobile soup kitchen ministry. Through this ministry
they are able to feed hundreds of children from destitute families while
also satisfying their spiritual hunger by leading children's Bible
studies. The program is making an impact in an area of desperate need,
where one out of four children are underweight, 28 out of 1000 children
die before reaching the age of five, and 97% of six-year-olds suffer
from dental decay. In addition to the church he pastors, Pastor Jun also
makes frequent visits to the remote villages of the island, leading
Bible studies in an effort to plant future churches where none exist.
In order to multiply funds for the ministry, Pastor Jun and his family
maintain a small pig stockbreeding enterprise. We are seeking funding to
expand the pig farm which will in turn expand our ministry impact in the
region. If you feel compelled to partner with us in this work by giving
financially, please use the button below to donate toward this project.
