Philippines Projects Empowered by Hen House. Our native team in the Philippines has been ministering on the island of Cebu for over 10 years. We're reaching out to the children of the island through a mobile soup kitchen ministry and an education center operated out of our local church building. Through this ministry we are able to feed hundreds of destitute children and orphans while also satisfying their spiritual hunger by leading children's Bible studies. The program is making an impact in an area of desperate need, where one out of four children are underweight, 28 out of 1000 children die before reaching the age of five, and 97% of six-year-olds suffer from dental decay. In addition to the church he pastors, our director Pastor Jun also makes frequent visits to the remote villages of the island, leading Bible studies in an effort to plant future churches where none exist.

Our work of reaching orphans and impoverished children in the Philippines is being sustained and multiplied by a hen house project. A gift of just $20 buys 5 chicks plus a starter supply of their feed at the hen house. Once the chicks are raised into egg-producing hens, they will provide nourishing, life-sustaining protein to the inadequate diets of the children we are reaching out to. As well, excess eggs are sold in the market, with profits going toward the needs of our outreach programs.
